The new trailer for X-Men: Dark Phoenix just dropped, and The Beta Boys react to the second onscreen appearance of the Phoenix and her friends. We don’t want to say it. But, we feel like we need to. Is the X-Men franchise dipping into lackluster DCEU territory? Listen to find out.
Oh and…GABASONIC aka Gabe Ruth aka Gabe Swanson aka Gaba-daba-do…Gabe is back! A psychopath, a sadist with a twisted sense of humor, the antithesis of sanity…is this describing The Joker or Joaquin Phoenix? Well now, its actually both. We just got our first glimpse of Phoenix as “Arthur” or the man who one day becomes The Clown Prince of Crime for the upcoming Joker origin movie. The Beta Boy’s react to his casting and where we think Phoenix ranks among all of the other actors who have portrayed “The Man Who Laughs” before him.
We also have a brand new Go No Go featuring an Eli Roth movie meant for the entire family. The man who made Hostel just made a family film? That is truly terrifying. We also have a fresh new PICK OF THE WEEK and another New Tune Tuesday…on Thursday…But, on Friday! (We’re still working on the title for this one).
Comic-Con 2018 was this weekend aaaannnnddd....Did anyone really care? The Beta Boys are back to talk about the underwhelming sensation we all got after this year's Comic-Con. Its a reminder of just how much Disney/Marvel/Lucasfilm mean to the convention and how its presence and/or absence is definitely felt. Or is it something else? Is the lack of new and creative ideas put at the forefront once the spectacle of Disney and friends aren't there to hide the mediocrity?
But, it wasn't all doom and gloom, there were a few standouts that actually shattered our boredom and blew our expectations out of the water! The KON, Jay, and Uno dive into their favorite trailers from the Con and point out a few gems that we should all be looking forward to with a new TRAILER PARK segment.
Should I stream or should I go? Avengers: Infinity War or Life of the Party? Faces Places or Evil Genius?
As we hit a bit of a lull in theaters as far as new releases and though Netflix and other streaming services are now flooded with great content, figuring out what to watch has gotten harder and harder to do. Well, don't fret! The Beta Report has your golden ticket to a perfect entertainment filled weekend!
This week, we go over the TOP 5 movies still in theaters and debate whether any of those are worth another watch [Wink wink]. Plus, we got a brand new GO/NO GO and a fresh STREAM COME TRUE. All this and so much more on this week's episode of The Beta Report.
What’s thanksgiving without a few leftovers? And what’s a post-thanksgiving episode without some tofurkey talk and a little more Justice League thoughts? This week, we revisit last week’s Justice League discussion and touch on a few things that we didn’t have a chance to get to. Namely, the appearance of Joe Manganiello as Deathstroke, his stand-alone movie, The Legion of Doom, and the DCEU’s future. We also had to talk about Kevin Feige’s most recent comments about Avengers 4, and the most certain end of the current Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know it. Who will we see in the next phase? Which of our beloved heroes will make it out alive or simply fade away?
We also share same Thanksgiving stories, Black Friday nostalgia and let downs, and of course, our PICK OF THE WEEK! So, make sure and click the link/play button below to listen to this week’s new episode.
