The Beta Report Effect Strikes Again!

It might be coincidental, or clearly scientific, and perhaps a bit mystical, regardless of how you’d like to classify it, one thing remains true: THE BETA REPORT EFFECT IS REAL! They've often joked about the power of the TBR Effect, but now even we are beginning to believe it. The Beta Bros react to the astonishing ways The Effect has worked its entertainment magic in so many ways this week. From the sudden swell of Joaquin Phoenix as The Joker images and videos flooding our streams, to The House with a Clock in its Walls hitting the top spot on the TOP 5, we’ve developed the Midas Touch and we’d like to share the wealth.

The KON also reacts to a movie he may or may not have seen, as a brand new Bumblebee Trailer buzzed its way onto the internet. Plus, there are some creepy things going on in the TBR studio today…and Jay blames The Nun! Listen to find out if The Beta Bros made it out of this episode alive.

Joaquin Phoenix, The Next Great Joker?

A psychopath, a sadist with a twisted sense of humor, the antithesis of sanity…is this describing The Joker or Joaquin Phoenix? Well now, its actually both. We just got our first glimpse of Phoenix as “Arthur” or the man who one day becomes The Clown Prince of Crime for the upcoming Joker origin movie. The Beta Boy’s react to his casting and where we think Phoenix ranks among all of the other actors who have portrayed “The Man Who Laughs” before him.

We also have a brand new Go No Go featuring an Eli Roth movie meant for the entire family. The man who made Hostel just made a family film? That is truly terrifying. We also have a fresh new PICK OF THE WEEK and another New Tune Tuesday…on Thursday…But, on Friday! (We’re still working on the title for this one).

Late to The Party: Movies We May Have Missed, But You Shouldn't!

Like with most things, it wouldn't really be The Beta Report if we weren't fashionably late...TO EVERYTHING! It's kind of our calling card. And though, timing is a factor for a movie's current relevance and impact, a great movie can always be judged by its timelessness and transcendent qualities. So, we've tirelessly scoured the pantheon of great movies that may have passed us by and compiled a few interesting choices of movies and TV shows that we missed on their initial release, but we highly suggest you watch. We're just a little late to the party, but the party never really gets started until we arrive. #TheBetaReportEffect #ItsReal

Magic March

Let us bewitch you with our March movie preview as the boy's breakdown the upcoming movies we think will be the standouts of this pretty stacked month. Take heed as well, as a tempestuous wind of reboots and remakes may come crashing down upon us in the near future. Stare at the glimmering, glistening, gleaming shine of our magic balls and wait and see if films like Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Scarface, The Crow, The NeverEnding Story, or Short Circuit should get a Reboot or, simply, just get The Boot!
