Punishing the Glass

No, this isn’t the Beta Report’s new NBA-centric podcast about great rebounders in NBA history. It’s just a clever title. Although, that would be a pretty great idea. File away for later (Patent Pending)…This is however one of those moments where the universe just aligns things for you perfectly and you have no choice but to bring it to light: Punisher+Glass=Jigsaw…this stuff writes itself!

Anyway, on today’s episode the Beta Boy’s preview two of their most anticipated releases of 2019: The Punisher Season 2 and M. Night Shyamalan’s GLASS! There are a lot of things on the line for these two releases, like is M. Night Shyamalan’s resurgence for real or is he destined to fall back into mediocrity? And, is The Punisher the next Marvel Netflix show in the cancellation cross-hairs no matter how great it is? We answer all of these questions and give our thoughts regarding the poor reviews and terrible Rotten Tomatoes score GLASS has right now…35%!!! YIKES.

Spider-Man: Far From Home Trailer Reaction

Spider-Man: Far From Home has just released its first trailer. Just in time for The Beta Report to rip it to shreds and give you every little detail you might have missed, like: Is Mysterio a wizard from Kamar Taj, where Dr. Strange also learned his magic? Netflix vs. The World: Is Netflix Worth it in 2019?

Other than our smartphones, I don’t think there has been anything more culture defining than: Netflix. The media streaming giant has consistently poured out hit after hit, creating some of the most entertaining and memorable shows and movies of our time like Stranger Things, Orange is the New Black, Roma, and Bird Box, to name a few. Netflix has not only grown from a mere movie rental service, it is categorically shaping our history and rewriting the zeitgeist as we know it.

But, as Netflix continues to nab its share of A-List stars, Oscar worthy directors, and fueling our entertainment driven lives…is Netflix worth having in 2019? Is Netflix Studios and the quality of its TV Shows and Films enough to leave other streaming services or major movie studios behind? Captain Marvel: REDUX

Let’s try this again. We experienced some technical difficulties last week with the sound of the podcast, so we unfortunately had to pull it. Thank you to all of our friends and listeners who gave us a heads up about the episode. With that said, we had way too much to say about Captain Marvel to not address it one more time.
